The Lion Dragon Boat Club is based in Auckland, New Zealand and is one of the oldest dragon boat clubs in the country, having been involved in the sport for over 30 years. We're a fun and friendly group who like to train hard compete well.

Our Teams
Lion Premier Crew
The Pride trains three times a week on the water at the peak of the season, with an expectation of individuals doing land training as well. They train hard. To be a member of this crew you'll need a good level of fitness, strength and commitment to training attendance.
Tsunami Crew
Lion DBC's development crew for the club. Part social, part development and part rehab for those rebuilding after injury or returning to the sport after a long absence. This is the perfect team for new paddlers wanting to try the sport out or existing paddlers who still want to remain in the sport but can't commit to all of the training the top crews require. Train when you can, race when you can. Be part of the Lion whanau.
