Join Lion Dragon Boat Club
Lion DBC has two teams this 2020-2021 season. Their Premier Mixed Crew - Lion Pride and their Development Crew - Tsunami.

They are actively recruiting for Tsunami this season, welcoming new paddlers and old. There is no prerequisite of fitness to join Tsunami, this is the time to work off that Covid slump.
​
Part social, part development and part rehab for those rebuilding after injury or returning to the sport after a long absence. This is the perfect team for new paddlers wanting to try the sport out or existing paddlers who still want to remain in the sport but can't commit to all of the training the top crews require. Train when you can, race when you can.
​
There will be many social races throughout the season, they are not mandatory, only the Regional Championships will be on the 13th March 2021, so book this in your diary if you're interested.

$30 annual regional membership fee - due upon joining the club
$100 annual club membership fee - due in November

$20 estimated for social races

Social Races and Training Camp Information
There are a number social races during the season and a training camp in February at Kai Iwi Lakes in Dargaville (highlight of the season). These are not mandatory to enter so don't stress if you can't make them but you will gain a lot of experience, bond more as a team, enjoy the full culture of dragon boating in Auckland and have a load of fun.
